INTRODUCTION
Airbnb helped to do what I thought about for a month, that is, leaving the airbnb paradise (or hell?). Yes, I experienced a hell with two guests. How did they help me move over to Booking?
Airbnb kicked me out and my guests had a very stressy time searching for alternatives that they found in Booking. One family and another guest contracted me privately and paid me cash at arrival. Why?
I wondered if there were others who left Airbnb. I found several Youtubes about the issue. I share with you below the airbnb hell I experienced. I am now in Booking instead.
Them positive side of the coin.
Rule following requirement
One thing with liked with airbnb is that they require guests to follow your house rules””e.g. that they in my house are careful saving water and do not throw paper in the WC. (My house has no connection to public water supply and sewage network.)
In Booking I got guests that did not care at all at the my house special requirements, consuming a lot of water and throwing paper towels (!) in the WC.
Payments
Another good thinf with airbnb is that you get paid the day after a guests arrival.
In Booking I heard that they pay every Thirsday. But after a month I have not got any money from Booking.
Good guest experiences
Most of my Airbnb guests have been a great pleasure to host. Some have also become friends and came back privately. But this is just the nice side of the coin.
It is a pity that the Airbnb coin landed with the dark side up, having me to leave Airbnb.

IThe airbnb review and guest policy.
The Airbnb concept of having landlords sharing opinions about their guests behavior looks nice and can be useful sometimes. You can e.g. say “no thanks” to a guests having got bad reviews but it does not work all the time. You can not rely on all landlord reviews. I myself did not write a sincere review about my last Hungarian guest as I knew that this woman had enough problems already and a sincere review would not help her.
Airbnb seems not to care about this problem. On the contrary, the guest reviews are sacred and their policy a religion. I will motivate this my Conslusion

Why quit airbnb?
As said in the
I looked what motivated other landlords to quit Airbnb.
Searching for “quit Airbnb” on Youtube, I found different youtube testimonials.
- Shawn Connors Real Estate in “Why I’m QUITTING and Selling My Airbnb” says that :if you buy a home to rent in airbnb “you buy a fulltime job”and “Do not think that to be in airbnb means no time and work.”
- Shelby Church in “Why I’m QUITTING Airbnb.” shared economical reasons with detailed aeconomical analyze. Out of her youtube, one could say: “!do not buy a home and expect it to become a good investment renting it with airbnb “
- Flippingahouse in “Breaking Up with Airbnb: Why I Quit Hosting” touches s little bit my experience . HE talks about unreliable guests. He says in the video among others:“they don’t give a it’s not their property right so there’s things that they would do in your property that they wouldn’t necessarily do at home such as partying smoking weed um breaking items like we just had a door broken one of our properties we had some staircasing broken”
No guests of mine have broken things. But they have broken my peace of mind causing me a lot of stress. But it was airbnb that helped me to leave airbnb. They did not want me as an airbnb landlord. I will explain in some more detail below.

My quitting airbnb
My first guest experience
The landlord in Palermo did not tell the truth about a Belgian guest that I had here 2 months ago. I got a surprise. During room service I found packages of psychotropic drugs in the living room. He refused to follow house rules and recommendations. When I informed airbnb about his behavior, he took revenge by writing an offensive review. making me appear as a sick landlord with dementia.
My final guest experiencc
in June I had a Hungarian 50 year old woman that had similar psychological problems. She pretended to be 19 years old. When I regarded her as a middle-age woman she revenged by sending a message to airbnb that I was a landlord dangerous for 19 old women.
I talked about these two guests with a psychologist and therapist I know. According to her they both showed signs of narcissism. The Hungarian woman showed probably some form of psychological regression, maybe due to the traumatic experience she had at the death of her father when she was 19 years old.
Airbnb did not remove the Belgian public offensive review and Airbnb did not do any attempt to talk with me about the Hugarian guests warning..
Not only. They canceled all my guests’ bookings without explanation causing them a lot of stress. They then kicked me out of airbnb as a “measure of security”. and wrote: “You are not welcome back!”
Thank you airbnb. YOU helped me to do what I should have done after my belgian guest’s visit.
I took the decision to move my house listing to Booking that I hoped to have a more mature and professional policy approach. So far I am very satisfied with Booking and have had a few good guests with them earning my first top 10 vote.

Conclusion
Airbnb does not care about the landlords. Guests are those who bring money so “Guests reviews even if offensive and object for lawsuit for slander, are always showing the truth whatever they write.”
So with airbnb, you have to be a very good Christian, turning your cheek whatever guest you get and whatever they do to you. Are you good at turning cheeks then you can try to be a landlord in airbnb.
