We  have had many Italian guests.

A guest once left behind a soap for intimate cleansing, a soap that contained chlorine. I can imagine the unpleasant consequences of such a product that also kills important lactobacilli.

16ptCasasvedese does not want to spread chlor in its garden. So we do our best to aoid chlorinated products. Especially for my  Italian guests, I advice to read the information in https://milerd.com/it/blogs/notizie/how-to-protect-yourself-from-harmful-bacteria-at-home that shares cleaning outlines that we also follow among others ventilation and removing humidity (with AC in dry mode.) We all know that most bacteria do not love not like dryness and regular soap and that Research indicates a statistically significant correlation between consuming chlorinated drinking water and an increased risk of colorectal cancer.

About water, We use to separate chlorinated water from rain water but Due to the poor rainy winter we have no rain water left in our tanks, only a mix of chlorinated water and desalinator water.
For our English speaker audiencem we recommend this “introduction to bacteriology” in www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
